Miles’s Law
Miles’s Law works like gravity — indifferent, reliable, and entirely unimpressed by your excuses.
The law describes what people actually do, not what they say they do. Watch any office, any market, any household for a month, and you will see it operating like a ceiling fan — unnoticed, constant, moving the air for everyone.
Watch how a rumour travels in a hostel: it gains one detail per room and loses one truth per floor. By the fourth floor it is unrecognisable, and by dinner it is fact.
Society is a long conversation; the only question is whether you are listening or merely waiting to speak. The idea has done its job if, the next time it happens to you, you smile before you react.
