Crystallized Intelligence
You may not know the name Crystallized Intelligence, but you know the thing. This page only introduces the two of you formally.
Strip it to the floor and you find an old instruction: look carefully, judge slowly, act decently. The new name exists because the old instruction keeps being forgotten.
The idea is simple, and like most simple ideas it is easy to nod at and hard to use. The nod is free. The use costs attention, every day, in small change.
Think of the tuition teacher who says, 'First learn the formula, then forget where it came from — and then, one day, remember it properly.' That three-step journey is how all real learning travels.
Learning is the one wealth that survives every partition of fortune. If this page made you think of one specific person, do not send it to them. Apply it to yourself first; that is how these things work.
